Blenn Emaline Esser Born in Perth, Kansas on Mar. 28, 1905 Departed on Apr. 13, 2003 and resided in Delta, CO. Blenn Esser, age 98, of Delta died Sunday, April 13, 2003 at her daughter's home in Delta. She was born March 28, 1905 in Perth, KS to Franklin and Hattie (Snider) Hull. She was a member of General Assembly & Church of the First Born in Delta. Mrs. Esser was previously married to Alvin F. Hobbs. He preceded her in death. After his death she moved to Delta, Colorado from Sparta, Missouri in 1937 and has lived here since. She married Mark Esser on February 5, 1942 at Montrose, Colorado. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, flower gardening, sewing, singing and oil painting. She is survived by six sons, Joseph Hobbs of Menifee, CA, Charles Hobbs of Mesa, AZ, Robert Hobbs of Fairland, OK, Martin Esser of Olathe, CO, Kenneth Esser of Del Norte, CO, Larry Esser of Delta, CO, eight daughters, Helen Berger of Delta, CO, Pearl Lock of Farmington, NM, Twila Love of Delta, CO, Marie Humphries of Olathe, CO, Ethel Davis of Houston, TX, Lois Stone of Montrose, CO, Mamie Parker of Montrose, CO, Ann Turner of Vici, OK, and four sisters, Zelma Cobb of Oklahoma City, OK, Trela Maxwell of Oklahoma City, OK, Hattie Perry of Hugoton, KS, and Bess Floyd of Denver, CO. Numerous grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, three brothers, four sisters, one stepdaughter, an infant son, one stepson, and her daughter Mary Floyd who died in Denver the morning of Mrs. Esser's death. Graveside services were held on April 17, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Pea Green Cemetery, Pea Green. Visitation was held at 53401 Carnation Rd., Delta, CO on Wednesday for family and friends.
