Trela Maxine Hull Maxwell was born Nov. 21, 1926 at Rolla, KS. She was the 13th child born to Frank & Hattie (Snider) Hull. She passed away Nov. 11, 2009 at her home in OKC after a long illness. In the year 1936, she moved to OKC with her parents, brothers & sisters. She attended School in OKC. In 1938, along with her brothers Frank & Russell, Trela was baptized into the General Assembly And Church Of The First Born by Walter Merriman. She remained faithful until her death. She was married to Joe I. Maxwell in Nov. of 1942 at Hugoton, KS, and to this union were born 4 children: Billy & Ronnie Maxwell & 2 stillborn daughters, Glenda & Tammy Maxwell. Trela was employed at Western Electric & retired after 22 yrs. of service. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe I. Maxwell; her parents, Frank & Hattie Hull; 5 sisters: Freeda Owen, Addie Covington, Blen Esser, Bess Floyd & Zelma Cobb; 3 brothers: George, Russell & Frank Hull. She leaves to mourn her passing Billy Maxwell & his wife Gail of Yukon & Ronnie Maxwell & his wife Sara "Susie" of Bethany; sister, Hattie Perry of Liberal, KS; 1 granddaughter, Julie Jackson, who is the joy of her life, of OKC, & her husband Brian Jackson, who had just presented her with a great-granddaughter, Isabella Grace Jackson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, Church brethren & sisters of The General Assembly And Church Of The First Born & the Shields Church. Trela lived alone for many years & strove to be an example to those she was with daily. No one but God knew how generous she was and the good deeds & works she did for many in secret for her loved ones, the brethren & the church. The family wishes to express their appreciation for every act of love & kindness toward their mother, grandmother, sister & aunt. Trela was grateful for her dear brothers & sisters in the Faith, those care givers who were there for her in sickness, the food that was prepared & the phone calls made to her. We thank each one for the prayers sent up on her behalf. We especially thank you & may God bless you all. Her sons would like you to know that Mom was a beacon of light to them & their wives. Her unselfish love & daily prayers on their behalf will be greatly missed. We loved her unconditionally throughout her life and will continue to love her for the rest of our lives. We all loved her & will miss her. Our loss is Heaven's gain. Services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at The General Assembly And Church Of The First Born Shields Church.
