Minnie Julia Cervenka Helble, our special aunt passed away Tuesday evening, July 5, 2011, at Johns Scott & White Hospital in Taylor, just 22 days short of 107th birthday. Minnie was born July 27, 1904, to Frank and Rose Machu Cervenka. She attended grade school on the Cervenka farm. She met her future husband, Johnnie Helble, at Klecka Drug Store in Granger, They were married June 217, 1926. They spent their married life in Houston where Minnie was a homemaker and later worked many years at a gift shop. She retired to Georgetown to be near family and later moved to Granger to care for her sister Rose. Minnie kept an imaculate home and loved cooking and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1961; her parents; three sisters, Annie, Cecile and Rose; seven brothers, Emmet, Joe, Raymond, Johnnie, Frank, Dan and Dick. Minnie is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to the caregivers, nurses and her rfoommate Hilda Krueger at Granger Villa. Celebration of life services weere held Saturday morning, July 9 at Providence Funeral Home. Burial followed at Grranger City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harry Cervenka, Fred Homeyer, Dan Cervaena, Jimmy Gommert, Norman Landry and Daryl Hepa.
