Bio

Married R.A.Lawrence 5 March 1939 at Titus County ,Texas. Sue Lawrence, 88, of Mount Vernon, died Nov. 21, 2008, at her residence. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at the Harvey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pete Adrian officiating. Pallbearers will be Gene Barnett, Bill Holmes, Harry Earl, Bobby Goswick, Cotton Miller and Murray Collins. Interment will follow at the Mount Vernon City Cemetery. Mrs. Lawrence was born Dec. 12, 1919 in Sulphur Bluff to J.L. and Fannie Dennis Banister. She is survived by husband R.A. Lawrence of Mount Vernon; children Beth Bench of Mount Vernon and Sharon Anderson of Rowlett; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister Mary Zonz Case of Mount Vernon. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel.
