Mrs. McGehee passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011 in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta. A resident of Love County most of her life, she graduated from Greenville High School and attended Ardmore Business School. She and F.A. Shellenberger, Jr. were married in Marietta on May 28, 1939, and he preceded her in death on December 30, 1952. Following his death, she then married Harold Rudolph McGehee on May 8, 1954 in Marietta. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2004. Others preceding her in death were her parents; an infant sister, LaWanna Lee Quick; and an infant brother, Herman Lloyd Quick. Mrs. McGehee owned and operated Enid's Flower Shop in Marietta for 20 years, and Mr. and Mrs. McGehee owned and operated the McGehee Catfish Restaurant from 1972 to 2000. In addition, she had a dress shop and gift shop in Marietta for several years. Mrs. McGehee was a member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary and the Rose Garden Club. As a very active member of the Marietta Church of Christ, she taught Sunday School classes and also Vacation Bible School for many years. Her hobbies included floral arranging, traveling, reading her bible, collecting antiques and decorating her home. Mrs. McGehee had a special love for Victorian homes. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, F.A. "Butch" and Wanda Shellenberger of Ardmore, OK; Larry Shellenberger of Carrollton, TX and Preston L. and Sharron McGehee of Marietta; daughter and son-in-law, Janet Hoefar Foster and husband, Dr. Thomas E. Foster of Trenton, TN; brother, Glenn A. "Bud" Quick, Jr. of Monte Vista, CO; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Serving as bearers will be Alex McGehee, Colby Hoefar, Brett McGehee, Marc Alan Shellenberger, Mark Puccio and Colton McGehee. Honorary bearers are members of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary and the Rose Garden Club, Dr. Tom O'Connor and the nursing staff of Mercy Health Love County.
