Bio

Otis Ray Whisenhunt peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon July 5, 2011, at the age of 80. He was born in Pike, Oklahoma on July 3, 1931. He made Bastrop, Texas his hometown and was a strong man who had a passion for hard work. He enjoyed building things, fishing and visiting with his family and friends. Otis was preceded in death by his parents, Orbra and Ival Whisenhunt, and brother LB Whisenhunt. Surviving to honor his memory is the mother of their three daughters, Mary Beth Whisenhunt; daughters, Donna and husband Craig Kirklin, Becky and husband Thomas Whited, Carrie and husband Paul Ervin; two sisters, Bernice Tharp and Pat Champion; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
