FUNERAL NOTICE Friday services for J. L. Bennett Johnnie Lee Bennett, Rt. 1, Covington, died Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in a local hospital at the age of 69. He was born in Whitney and lived in West from 1921 until 1950. He had lived in Covington near Osceola, for the past several years. He married Miss Augusta Battles Dec. 30, 1921. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. Laura Bennett of Plainview; four brother, Doc of Osceola, Roy of Lubbock, Binson and Melvin of Plainview; four sisters, Mrs. Joe McPeak of Laguna Park, Mrs. J. J. Blackwell of Plainview, Mrs. Charles Powell of Orangevale, Calif. and Mrs. Clarence Powell of Salinas, Calif.; two sons, Donald and Jerry Bennett of Amarillo; four daughter, Mrs. Elmer Flovin of San Jose, Calif., Mrs. John Lee of Odessa, Mrs. Jimmy Holloway and Mrs. L. D. Cox of Amarillo; 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held July 2 at 2:30 p.m. in the Marshall and Marshall Cjapel with the Rev. Archie Carmichael and the Rev. Claywood Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Peoria Cemetery.
