son of George Helms - Ola Kinder George Francis Helms married Ruby Cook on 11 August 1931. She preceded him in death. Services for George Francis "Shorty" Helms, 78, were held at First Baptist Church in Point, of which he was a member. Survived by two sons - Leonard Helms and Ted Helms; one brother - Alvin Helms; four sisters - Tressie Dick, Mary Gray, Effie Stewart, Beatrice Peck; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
