Services for George Washington Helms, 81, were held at Eastside Church of Christ in Graham officiated by the local minister, Ray Crook. Mr. Helms was retired. He moved to Graham in 1950 from Bryson, Texas. Mrs. Helms was a member of the Church of Christ. Survived by his wife; sons - Francis Helms, Alvin Helms, James Helvey; daughters - Miss Marguerette Helvey, Mrs. Virginia Kelly, Mrs. Effie Stewart, Mrs. Bobby Wickham, Mrs. Tressie Deck, Mrs. Beulah Davis, Mrs. Mary Gray, Mrs. Beatrice Peck, Mrs, Wilma Donahoe; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
