Ed J. Baros, 81, a long-time resident of El Campo, died at his home on April 22, 1985 after an extended illness. He was born in Shiner on November 18, 1903 to the late Joseph and Maria Mycka Baros. He was a retired employee of Farmers Canal Company of Palacios, having lived in the Blessing area for 23 years. He was a veteran of World War II. A rosary was recited in the Triska Funeral Home chapel at 7 pm April 24. Funeral services were at 10 am April 25 at St. Phillip's Catholic Church with the Rev. Thurmond officiating. Interment followed at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Taiton. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Baros, of El campo; 4 sisters Elizabeth Uhrbrock of San Juan, Lillian Taubert and Joyce Anderson of San Antonio, and Lorraine Baros of Fort Worth; and one brother, Marvin Baros of Lubbock. Pallbearers were Billy Dolezal, Albert Jurasek, Daryl Capak, Steve Capak, Otto Uhrbrock, Jr. and Bryan Brown.
