Parker.—Mrs. Elmira Parker, wife of J. B. Parker, departed this life at her home near Houghton, N. Y., March 23, 1902, aged fifty-five years. Sister Parker had been a great sufferer from rheumatism for twenty-five years, being helpless the last three or four years of her life. She bore up under her affliction heroically, and tried to make the best she could of her lot. I called to see her a few days before her death. Her mind was clear, and she gave definite testimony to the power of grace to save, and said she desired to depart to be with Christ. She now rests. Funeral services were conducted by the writer of this sketch at her late residence, and her mortal part was laid to rest in the cemetery at Houghton. S. Bedford.
