Wright, Marion Hooper Marion Hooper Wright, 74, died Tuesday, February 25, 1992, at a Wichita Falls hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday(today) at First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Darnell pastor of First Christian Church of Plano officiating. Burial will be in Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home. Mr. Hooper was born May 4, 1917 in Archer County where he lived most of his life. He and Dorothy Sheets were married October 27, 1945 in Ft. Worth. He was a veteran of WWII and retired Civil Service employee at Sheppard Air Force Base. He was a member of Archer City First Christian Church, Archer Masonic Lodge 708 A.F.&A.M. Scottish Rite. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Lewis of Glen Allen, Mississippi and Jayne Johle of Archer City; one son, John of Athens; four sisters Euncie Evans and Ruth Wright of Bowie, Naomi Yound of Arlington and Billie Brigham of Red Oak; three brothers, P.L. of Bowie, B.D. of Wichita Falls and Weldon of Archer City; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were members of Archer City Masonic Lodge. The family suggests memorials to A.C.Wallace Scholarship, P.O. Drawer A, Archer City, TX. 76351. Source: Archer County News February 27, 1992
