OBIT: James P. Davidson, retired Westside farmer died at the West Valley Nursing Home in Yakima yesterday at the age of 77 years. He had been in ill health the past six years and at the nursing home for three years. Born June 12, 1884 in Rogersville, Tenn., Davidson came to the Kittitas Valley in 1903 from Rogersville. He farmed in the Fairview District and later on the Westside, retiring in 1953. He married Iva Watterson in Ellensburg, June 12, 1912. She survived him at the family home, 400 South Pearl, which they purchased in 1935. Other survivors include a son, James M. Davidson of Ellensburg, a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Weber of Ephrata, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Evenson Chapel, Thursday, February 8 at 2 p.m. Rev. Marvin Elwood will conduct the rites and burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
