Clarence Darling Catherine Darling - Clarence E. Darling, 85, of BIS Road, Lancaster, died this morning in Grant Hospital, Columbus, as the result of injuries suffered in an auto accident Sunday. Darling's wife, Catherine, 87, died Monday at Grant of injuries suffered in the same accident. A retired farmer, he was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. His first wife, Rachel; sons, C. Fred and Robert Darling; brothers, Ed, Ray, Ralph, Oscar, Carl; and a sister, Marie Barr, died previously. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Duane K. Albers officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, following Saturday's committal service in Maple Grove Cemetery for his wife, Catherine. Mrs. Darling's funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Emanuel Lutheran Church.
