d/o John T. Simek and Annie Holubeck From the Bryan (TX) Daily Eagle , Tuesday, January 1, 1957, p. 12: Mrs. Victor J. Boriskie, 59, died at an early hour today in a local hospital. Born in Lee county, May 21, 1897, Mrs. Boriskie with her husband had managed a poultry farm on Highway 6 South for 38 years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday int eh chapel of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. E. L. Conyers, associate pastor of the First Methodist church of which Mrs. Boriskie was a member, and will be assisted by the Rev. Elroy Wykel, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Beaumont, a nephew of Mrs. Boriskie. Soft organ music will be played as a background to the service. Interment will be made in College Station City cemetery with a group of nephews serving as active and honorary pall bearers. They will be Herbert West, Roy Henry Basin and Harold Miller of Houston; Walter Kaiser, Caldwell; Edward Simec, College Station; Leon Stasny , Temple; Joe Boriskie, Port Arthur and Robert Boriskie, Jimmy Hoyak and Travis Nelson of Bryan. Beside her husband, Victor J. Boriskie, other survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Antone Krenek, Mrs. Bena Zak of Bryan, Mrs. V. E. Boyd, Caldwell, Mrs. Alice Corley, Des Moines, Iowa and Mrs. Annie Baklic of Houston; three brothers, Henry Hoyak and J. W. Hoyak of Bryan and John G. Simec of College Station.
