Cause of death: Auto Accident Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, October 6, 1977, Page 8, Column 1 Former Arcadian Dies in Accident Alvin A. Larson, 70, of Boise, ID died Tuesday morning September 27, 1977 in a car accident near Salem, OR. Double funeral services were conducted September 30, at 10:30 at the Summers Chapel at Boise for Mr. Larson and his wife, the former Jean Murphy. Burials were at the Terrace Lawn Cemetery at Boise and Ontario, OR respectively. Alvin was born April 20, 1907 at Arcadia, NE, the son of Peter and Laura Anderson Larson. He attended the Mixed Grove school in Sherman County. He was united in marriage to Mildred A. Leininger on April 20, 1930 at Harvard, NE. They lived in the Arcadia vicinity and at Lincoln before moving to Nampa, ID in 1941. In 1952 they moved to Boise. He retired from the Idaho Highway Department in 1972. Mrs. Larson died in 1976. On September 16, 1977 in Boise he was united in marriage to Jean Murphy. The couple was returning to Boise after their wedding trip when they were involved in a head-on crash near Salem. Both were killed on impact. Survivors of Mr. Larson are his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tom (Bernadine) Eldridge and grandchildren, Cheryl, Tommy, and Danny all of McCall, ID; his son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Kathy Larson of Boise; and six step children; also his brothers, Victor of Boise, Carl of Nampa and his sisters, Mrs. Mary Anstine of Albany, OR and Mrs. Mabel Wright of Torrance, CA
