Mr. Vance was struck by a car driven by Weston Kofford, 17, of Orem, while he and his wife were crossing the highway in front of his home half a mile south of the Provo canyon state highway road intersection in Orem, stated Deputy Sheriffs W. T. Lewis and George Loveless, who investigated. The couple had just left the store and were walking south towards their home.
