Born About 1833, Cartchr, Germany Census records states he was born in Prussia. They landed in Galveston. Do not know what became of his parents. The Harris County Texas Probate Records 1857-1891 states - Karcher, Adolph (minor) F - 311; Charles (minor) F-31l-12; Francis (minor) p. F-311; Jacob E-322 , 334; Jacob (minor of) F-)ll; Jame? _P-)22; Philip (minor) F-311-)12. In the 1850 Census record of Harris county, living with the Brooks family were Adolphus, Francis, Charles P., Henretta and Phillip Karcher. Died: December 11, 1883, age 50 years.
