Sadie Louvenia (Wilcox) Drennan went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 11, 2011. Services will be Friday, June 17, 2011 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church, in Colorado City. Rev. Jack Hulsey will be officiating. Burial will follow in Hermleigh Cemetery. Sadie was born to Alonzo and Ella Clem Wilcox on April 1, 1910 in Winnsboro, Texas. Sadie was the sixth of 10 children. One sister, Hattie, and one brother, Lon Jr. died in infancy. Sadie's other siblings were Jim, Fara, Wheeler, Brownie, Whit, Macie, and Andy. She married William Joseph (Joe) Drennan on June 15, 1924, Sadie and Joe had three children: RH Drennan (Betty), Mae Dell Amadeo (Dennis), and Charles Drennan (Linda). Sadie had nine grandchildren: Josephine, Sadie, Carolyn, Mary, Tony, Pam, Joe, Shirley, and Francis Ann. Great grandchildren include: Cody Lewallen, Christy Kahrs, Bo Williamson (Angela), Lee Williamson (Lissett); Farrah, Audrey, and Madelyn Turner; Joe, Taylor, and Debbie Drennan; Serena and Madison Martinez. Great-great grandchildren are Chase Lewallen; Cortney and Claire Kahrs, Amary Williamson; Natalia and Alex Williamson. Sadie was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. During her 101 years spent on this earth, Sadie witnessed many changes. When faced with hardships in her life, she met them with courage and determination, yet her life was marked by incredible joy and kindness. She lived an exemplary life of service to others. The love of Jesus Christ was shown to others through Sadie. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 10:00-11:00. All arrangements are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
