Obituary of Leona Pendleton Brownfield (Special) -- Services for Leona Pendleton of Brownfield will be at 2 p.m. today in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Pat Riley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery under direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. She died Friday, June 17, 1994, at her residence. She was born Feb. 5, 1928 in Post. She graduated from Post High School, and she married W. L. "Sport" Pendleton on Sept. 28, 1946, in Tahoka. He died Feb. 6, 1994. She worked for GTE for 30 years, and she was a member of the Brownfield Art Association and Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Jerry of Levelland and Ricki of Denver City; two daughters, Judy Davis of Kerrville and Patti Langham of Shreveport, LA.; her stepmother, Brownie Hulsey of Perrin; four brothers, Bill Craig and Harvy Craig, both of Tahoka, Robert Craig of Post and W. C. Craig of Bruceville; three sisters, Pearl Herman of Lubbock, Frances Craig of Sweetwater and Barbara Hawkins of Austin; two half brothers,Lee Roy Hulsey of Abilene and Jack Hulsey of Alaska; two stepsisters, Maurine Chesshire of Waco and O'Dessa Gurley of Artesia, NM; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
