PRITCHETT, JAMES H. (POPPY), Of Dallas, Texas was born in Crandall, Texas on March 16, 1927 and went to be with the Lord September 7, 2005. James is survived by his wife, Iva Nell Pritchett; daughters, Pauline Kirk and Leanne Borden; son, Gary Selby; brother, William Frank; sisters, Almarita Carpenter, Velma Gay Hurley, and Mary Bess Shipley; nine grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. James retired from DISD in 1991 and proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII as well as the U.S. Navy in Korea. He was a loving husband and caring grandfather. Services will be held Saturday September 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, Texas, 75149.
