E. and Annie Coons; school: 5th grade; occupation: Farming, Enlisted 15 Nov 1918 assignment, Private, Utility Detachment, Q.M. C. ; discharged: 21 Feb 1919; residence; Cairo, Missouri; Remarks: Great Grandfather fought in War of 1812, Grandfather fought in Civil War on the union side and one uncle fought in the Mexican War. Clarence was the son of C. E. Coons and was divorced at the time of his death. Cause of death was a self inflicted gun shot wound.
