Private, Company B, 1st Regiment, Arkansas Cavalry Volunteers, US Army. Contributor: Charles Corbin (49406699) "James was killed by bushwackers only three months later on March 30, 1863, and only 8 days before that George's daughter Sarah Frances died on March 22, 1863. I have no information on how she died although it is possible that she too was killed by bushwackers as they did kill non-combatant civilians as well." per John Hughes, descendant, on Aug 9, 2011 contributed by Layne Sacharin - Thanks!
