Patsy R. Jeanes Mitchell of Terrell passed away on Nov. 13, 2003 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on Nov. 9, 1935 to the late William Wesley "Bill" and Musa Smith Jeanes in Prosper, Texas. She attended Melissa Schools and graduated from McKinney High School in 1954 where she was all district in basketball. She was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Melissa. She married Bob Mitchell on May 24, 1957 and they later moved to Terrell in 1962. She worked for W. O. Bankston Oldsmobile from 1954-1957 and Texas Instruments in Richardson from 1957-1965 at which time she became a part of the family businesses of farm equipment, auctions, farming and ranching where she worked along side her husband and children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Terrell, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Theta Thi Chapter, the Browning Club, Serendipity Book Club and Terrell Tennis Club. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bob Jeanes. She is survived by her husband, Bob Mitchell of Terrell; daughter, Michelle Allen of Celina; son, Kyle Mitchell and wife DeAnna of Terrell; grandchildren, Morgan Allen Lambert and husband Brice, Ryan Kyle Mitchell, Hailey Griffin Mitchell, Maxwell Darr Mitchell and Merritt Lee Mitchell; brother, Kenneth Jeanes and wife Cary of Plano; sisters, Billy Stephens and husband John of McKinney, Margaret Kemp and husband Bill of McKinney, Lanell Sapp of DeSoto; sister-in-law, Betty Sue Jeanes; special friend of the family, Kim Crowell; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 17, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Terrell with Rev. Ernie McCoulskey officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in McKinney. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 403 North Catherine; Terrell, Texas 75160 or the Leukemia Association, 6060 North Central Expressway; Dallas, Texas 75026.
