Published in the Athens Review August 19, 1948 Funeral services for Elzie Boine Pagitt, 63, who died in a Jacksonville hospital Thursday after an extended illness, were held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Church of Christ of Poynor. The services were conducted by Evangelist Long, pastor, and interment was in the Poynor Cemetery. Mr. Pagitt, whose home was at Poynor, was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Blanche Pagitt; one son, Joe Pagitt of Jacksonville; one daughter, Mrs. Silas Douglas of Poynor; three sisters and eight grandchildren.
