Maxine Duckett, age 79, of Waxahachie, passed away early Friday morning, April 22, 2011 in Jacksonville, TX. She was born December 27, 1931 in Jacksonville, TX to George Frank and Anna Bell (Hale) Cook. Maxine married Leon Duckett on January 28, 1953 in Ennis. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Survivors include three sons, Bruce Duckett and wife Carolyn of Waxahachie, Mike Duckett and Bonnie Reed of Ennis and Randy Duckett and wife Beverly of Avalon; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Cook and wife Elizabeth of Corsicana and Glen Cook and wife Sharon; one sister, Joyce Tarrant and husband Bobby of Jacksonville; half sister, Judy McGee and husband Earl and numerous nieces and nephews. Maxine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Leon Duckett on April 7, 2000. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10AM Monday, April 25, 2011 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Elm Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Duckett, Michael Leon Duckett, Chris Duckett, Ronnie Duckett, Blake Duckett and Billy Christian. Visitation Sunday April 24, 2011, 6 - 8 P.M. at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home - Waxahachie Funeral Service Monday April 25, 2011, 10 A.M. at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home - Waxahachie Burial Monday April 25, 2011 at Elm Branch Cemetery
