Houston Chronicle, July 16, 2002: A.W. Carlisle, 84, died Sunday July 14, 2002. Resident of Houston. Served 101st Airborne Div. during World War II. Member of Painter's Union Local #130. Survivors: wife of 64 years Mildred Carlisle; sons, Jerry Carlisle and wife, Barbara, David Carlisle and wife, Barbie, Roy Carlisle and wife, Glenda: 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2002, Colonial Funeral Home. Graveside service and interment 12 noon Wednesday, July 17, 2002, McDade Cemetery, McDade, Texas.
