Bio

Daughter of Joseph Sylvanus & Martha Eutella Hewatt Cottle. Wife of Thomas Linn Carlisle. Mae died from the Spanish flu during the epidemic of 1918. Her youngest child was not yet a year old when she passed, and her husband could not care for all the children. Mae's sister, Lilla, stepped in to raise their youngest child, A.W.
