Ardis R. Goodner, 75, of Broken Bow died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Good Samaritan Center in Callaway. Ardis was born March 23, 1936, in Broken Bow to James and Evelyn (Clay) McCaslin. On Dec. 31, 1955, she married Henry Goodner. He preceded her in death. Survivors are: daughters, Terrie Scofield and her husband, Dann, and Sherri Olson and her husband, Duane, all of Broken Bow; sons, Greg Goodner and his wife, Annette, and Don Goodner and his wife, Bonnie, all of Kearney, and Ron Goodner and his wife, Cindy, of Elm Creek; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Curt McCaslin and his wife, Eula, of Hershey, Dan McCaslin and his wife, Joyce, of Broken Bow and Daryl McCaslin and his wife, Jan, of North Platte; and sisters, Audrey Jones of Thedford, Cleo Purdum of Reed Point, Mont., Beverly Goehring and her husband, Jim, of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Leta Krecji and her husband, Boyd, of Eustis. Ardis attended school in Broken Bow and Merna and graduated from Merna High School. Ardis enjoyed her grandchildren, playing cards, decorating cakes and flower gardening, and was a member of the DAR. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Published in the Kearney Hub on 5/25/2011
