Anthony P. "Tony" Jarecki Mass of Christian burial for Anthony P. "Tony" Jarecki, 90, of Tyler will be celebrated at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday May 26, 2011 at 11:30 am. Entombment will be at Rose Hill Mausoleum under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Mr. Jarecki passed away on Monday, May 23, 2011. He was born on May 25, 1920 in Duncan Nebraska one of 12 children to the late Matthew V. and Hedwig Tryba Jarecki. He graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in Columbus NE. and attended Zocholl Business College in St. Paul NE. He worked in both the War and Navy Dept. in Washington D.C. before entering the military. He was a Chief Petty officer in WWII and served in both the Atlantic & Pacific making 12 crossings on the USS Price-DE 332 built in Orange TX. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, Little League baseball, Knight of Columbus and Meals on Wheels. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Mary Anne Miller Jarecki of Tyler; son, Mark Jarecki of Fort Worth, daughter, Connie Keehn of Dallas; grandchildren Jeff & Jennifer and their spouses Dawn and Paul and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be members of (the Color Corp) Knights of Columbus. The family will receive friends Wednesday May 25th from 6-8 pm with the Rosary being held at 7:00 pm at Lloyd James Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for the Chapel of Saints Peter & Paul Building Fund, 423 South Broadway Tyler TX. 75702 Arrangements under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler, TX.
