Herald Coaster, January 1, 2002: Funeral services for Ola Marie Robison, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2002, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville. Burial will follow at Guy Public Cemetery. Ola passed away Dec. 30, 2001 in Damon. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jack Robison; children, Kenneth Robison and wife, Linda, of Franklin, Wendell Robison and wife, Kathy, of Tomball, and Beverly Kalina of Houston; grandchildren, Tamara Burnett, Jarret Robison, Robin Kalina, and Lyndsey, Lacey, and Lilly Robison; great-grandchild, Brody Burnett; brother, L.J. "Cotton" Horak and wife, Lovalee; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Ola was born Nov. 22, 1921 in Guy to Louis and Libbie Horak, who, along with her sister, Clara, preceded her in death. Ola attended Guy and Richmond schools. She worked at a defense plant in Houston during World War II where she met her husband, Jack. She was the consummate loving wife and mother, having served as room mother and PTA member, hauling kids to numerous events. She operated "Jack's Place" in Guy, was a voting precinct judge for many years, and a member of Needville United Church of Christ. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel in Needville. Services are under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors, 3103 School St. in Needville. 979-793-4515.
