OBIT: Funeral rites for Mrs. Minnie [Nancy] E. Darter, who died at her home, 421 G. Street Southeast late Monday following a paralytic stroke suffered later a fall in October, will be held at the Enterprise Church near Coleman at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. C.M. Savage of Temple, assisted by the Rev. J. O. Gash, pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church here. Bettes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Surviving are three sons: W. H. Darter, Ardmore; O. H. Darter, Temple, and Roy Darter, Oklahoma City; one daughter, Mrs. J. W. Tate, Foss; two brothers, John Derrick, Russett, and DeWolf Derrick, Tennessee; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Watterson of Washington; 32 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Darter, who was born in Tennessee, April 9, 1860, and moved to Ardmore 11 years ago, was a member of the German Baptist Church. Ardmore Daily Ardmoreite, November 30, 1937
