Tishomingo County News March 13, 1969 Mrs. Linda Lou Lambert, 25 of Route 1, Burnsville, was killed instantly Saturday morning March 8, when she lost control of her car on a rain-slick highway. The accident occurred just before 10 o'clock between Burnsville and Iuka when Mrs. Lambert, traveling alone toward Iuka, attempted to pass a Roadway Express transport truck driven by R.K. Stewart of Georgia. Stewart was also traveling east. Neither Stewart nor a relief driver, G.L. Mitchem, also in the truck, were hurt. Funeral services for Mrs. Lambert were held Monday afternoon, March 10, at 3 o'clock at the Love Joy Baptist Church. Bro. Bain officiated with burial in Love Joy Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She leaves her husband, Charles Lambert and three children; two daughters, Darlene and Dianne and a son, Billy David, all of Burnsville; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Osborn of Burnsville; four sisters, Mrs. Racine Powers of Chicago, Mrs. Gene Crane of Burnsville, Mrs. Francis Campbell of Burnsville, and Mrs. Kelly Hill of Tishomingo; three brothers, Junior Osborn of Burnsville and Talmadge and Roy Osborn, both of Chicago.
