Roy M. Osborn, 78, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died Sunday, December 13, 2009, at his residence. He was a member of Antioch Freewill Baptist Church and a U. S. Army veteran of WWII. He retired from the Milwaukee Railroad, and was the former owner/operator of the Southland Service Station in Glen, MS. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Briggs King. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers include Danny Powers, Charlie Powers, Steve Richardson, Tyler Richardson, Jake Ludwig, and Brandon Jones. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Connie Osborn of Burnsville, MS; 1 daughter, Fran Richardson (Steve) of Corinth, MS; 1 brother, Junior Osborn of Alabama; 2 sisters, Racine Powers of Burnsville, MS, and Callie Hill of Walnut, MS; 1 grandchild, Dana Jones (Brandon) of Walnut, MS; 4 step-grandchildren, Lucas Richardson of South Carolina, John Richardson of Florida, Tyler Richardson of Corinth, MS, and Danielle McCarter of Corinth, MS; and 1 great-grandchild, Harlee Jones of Walnut, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Osborn and Ola Mae Lambert; a grandson, Mikie Robbins; 3 sisters, Frances Campbell, Jean Crane, and Linda Lambert; and 2 brothers, Robert Osborn and Talmadge Osborn.
