Bio

Gay Nell London Ashley, 50, of Sulphur Springs died May 13, 2011, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital of Sulphur Springs following a lengthy illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home chapel with Rev. David London officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery with Dustin Pearson, Kyle Whitworth, Bobby Brantley, Mike Williams, Adam Dauer and Michael Fox serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Born Oct. 24, 1960, in Wolfe City, she was the daughter of Charlie Fred and Charlsie Fay Lunsford London. She married Ronald Ashley on Aug. 30, 1995, in Dallas. Mrs. Ashley was a homemaker and was a Baptist. Survivors are her husband of Sulphur Springs; two sons, Billy Johnson of Greenville and Michael Johnson of Leonard; a daughter, Lacey Johnson of Sulphur Springs; two stepsons, Ronald Ashley of Sulphur Springs and Randell Ashley of Mesquite; stepdaughter Jennifer Ashley of Sulphur Springs; 13 grandchildren; three brothers, Derrell London, David London and Jeff London; sister Danna London Furry and former husband Bill Johnson.
