"Grandma Neimann lived with us and died of a heart attack. It was real cold and icy for about two weeks when she died and they couldn't even get her to the funeral home. Walter Koehler went and got a coffin in Lyons. And we had to get some ladies over there to clean her and wipe her down with alcohol and we put her in a back room, with all the doors open. It was real cold, icy and muddy. They took her to the cemetery on a wagon. My Mama couldn't go to the cemetery. Mostly men went. Uncle Otto and Aunt Mitzie, they come to the house. Aunt Agnes came and we had a service at the house for her. There were only a few people who could come. Her brother (Harmon), who lived in Buckholts did not get here till she was buried. Maria and Fredrick's children: John, Wilhelmina, Friedrich, Anita, Louise, Agnes, Lorine
