Son of Carl Theador Richard Zedlitz and Louise Adelgunda Hilderbrand. Husband of Alma Marie Kriedel. Married Dec 9, 1891 in Fayette County, Texas. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~O~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Rockdale Reporter and Messenger (Rockdale, Tex.) Vol. 84, No. 42, Ed. 1 Thursday, November 1, 1956 Page: 2 of 19 Ed Zedlitz Rites Conducted in Gause Edward R. Zedlits of Gause, died suddenly here late Sunday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Cecil Lange, where he had been for several weeks. Mr. Zedlitz, 86, had been ill and was brought to Rockdale for treatment. He had been conversing with a daughter only a short time before being stricken and died immediately. Funeral services in charge of Phillips and Luckey were held at the Baptist church in Gause on Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Millard Brown of Rockdale officiating. Burial followed in Gause cemetery. Surviving are the following sons and daughters, Otto Zedlitz of Tahoka, John Zedlitz, Daniel W. Zedlitz, Mrs. Ella King of Roswell, New Mexico, Mrs. Flora Green, Mrs. Henry Walston of Gause, Mrs. Lenore Currin of Lubbock, Mrs. Cecil Lange of Rockdale.
