Kermit Leo Akin April 9, 1940 - February 23, 2009 Akin, Kermit L. "Pete" Age 68, a lifetime resident of Garland, passed away February 23, 2009 in Bonham, Texas. He served as a Baptist Minister was a hardware salesman and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Farmersville. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jennifer Akin; two sons, Jerry Akin and wife, Yesenia, Terry Akin and wife; Huaihong; two grandchildren, Devin and Andrew Akin; 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2009 in Williams Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Meeks officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, TX. Visitation is Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Happy Hills Farm, Grandbury, TX or Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund, Farmersville, TX.
