Bio
Cecilia Frances Leahy was born December 3, 1864, at Marengo, Ia. She died June 19, 1940, at her home in Geneva, Neb., at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 16 days. She was united in marriage February 26, 1895, at Grafton, Neb., to John W. Griffin. To this union were born eight children. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Marie, and a son, William. She is survived by two sons, Myrven of Omaha and James of Geneva; four daughters, Mrs. Harry A Simmon of Miller, Mrs. Harry E. Moran of Palisade and Mrs. Ivan McCashland and Eita of Geneva; four grandsons; two granddaughters; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Boyle of Mound, Minn., and Mrs. Kathryn Blackwell of Kansas City, Kas. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. James F. Gilroy at 9 a.m., June 22, 1940, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Geneva. Interment was in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Grafton.
