Bio
Family records and headstone show 1828 as birth date. But Czech birth and marriage records show 1834. She came to the US in 1881 and they settled in Saunders County, Nebraska. Her husband died in 1902. She lived in Oklahoma with the 2 youngest children for a couple years after that, then moved back to Nebraska in 1904. When her son John Kacirek (living in Rawlins County Kansas) lost his wife in 1917, she moved to Kansas and took care of John's household & children (she was in her mid-80s) until his remarriage in 1920. Katerina died soon after and was buried there in Kansas.
