1930 US Census, Dallas, Texas Stanley Tabor Head M 38 Czechoslovakia Annie Tabor Wife F 40 Czechoslovakia Helen Tabor Daughter F 16 Texas Gladys Tabor Daughter F 14 Texas Sophia Tabor Daughter F 13 Texas Note: A birth record filed in Dallas, TX Sept 28, 1944 states that Lee Roy Stanley Miklis was born April 9, 1933 in Kaufman Co, TX to Anton Miklis and Sophie Tabor, both residing in Kaufman, TX. At the time the document is filed, Anton is listed as aged 29 (b.1915) and Sophie listed as 28 (b.1916). They would have been 18 and 17 respectively when Lee Roy was born. Anton and Sophie's parents were all from Czechoslovakia Anton was married to Mary Francis Resnicek in Oct 1935 in Kaufman, Texas. The 1940 census shows Anton and Mary with no children. Mary Francis Miklis died two years later in 1942 and is buried in Kaufman Cemetery. The father is unknown. Mary Francis Reznicek and Tony Miklis had a son, Joe Anton Miklis in 1941. He is very much alive and living in Rowlett with his wife. Mary and a second baby died from toxemia of pregnancy, now called preeclampsia. Tony had a son who needed a mother; Sophie had a son who needed a father. They married and Tony adopted Lee Roy.
