Jake C. Brown Jake C. Brown, 76, of Fort Worth, a retired milkman, died Friday at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral will be at 2 pm Monday in Gause-Ware, Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Burial will be in Laurel Land Cemetery. Brown was born in Hood County and had been a resident of Fort Worth for 46 years. He was a milkman for Foremost Dairies Inc. for 34 years until his retirement in 1975. He was active in the gospel music industry, serving for 30 years as a president of the District Singing Convention, an inter-denominational gospel singing convention. In 1987, he was president of the National Singing Convention and the East Texas Singing Convention. Survivors include his wife, Leona Mae Brown of Fort Worth; one son, Kenneth Brown of Azle; three daughters, Katherine JoAn McCauley of Euless, Jane Owen of Vernon and Maggie Kramer of Fort Worth; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
