Floyd McMillen, 82, of Dayton died Friday, April 29, 2011 in Liberty. He was born April 3, 1929 in Daisetta, Texas to parents Lincoln B. and Viola Brady McMillen. Floyd lived in Dayton for many years. He served in the US Navy attaining the rank of FTM2, (Fire Control Technician, Missile, Second Class) he was the recipient of the National Defense Service medal, China Service ribbon, Korean Service ribbon (7 stars) and the Good Conduct medal (3 stars) after retiring from the Navy he worked as a derrick man for 20 years. Mr. McMillen was a member of Dayton Assembly of God church. Floyd was married to Janie Juanita Lane McMillen who preceded him in death. Services for Mr. McMillen will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2011 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Dayton with interment to follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and 2 brothers John Robert McMillen and John Ex Wiggins and great-grandson James Albert Shipman. He is survived by daughter: Glenda McDonald and husband Jerry of Dayton, and Sons Jimmy Headrick and wife Pat of Dayton; David Johnson and wife Karen of Missouri, grandchildren: Jimmy Dale Headrick and wife Judy, Janelle Headrick Shipman, John Headrick and wife Nan, Joy Headrick Scruggs, Nashanda Crockett and James, Alisha McDonald Long and Jason McDonald and Abby. Amber Headrick, Chris Robinson and wife Penny, Dawna Johnson Brady and Jessie Slaughter. Great-grandchildren- Jennifer, Ashley, Zachary, Madilyn, Arianna,Sadie, Ashton, Cassidy, John Austin, Brian, Faith, Trista, Bradin, Josh, Winston, William and Crystal and many other relatives and friends.
