McCracken-Dean FH, Pana, IL Online Obituary Harriett Jean "Jean" Miles, 80, of Pana, passed away December 2, 2007 in Heritage Manor—Pana. Jean was born September 27, 1927 at the Little Sanitarium, Pana, IL. Family tradition states that she was the first set of twins born there. She was the daughter of Clarence Adolphus and Clara Katherine (Kroenlein) Miles, who lived for a number of years on the family farm in Audubon Township, Montgomery County, IL. Jean lived at home with her parents her entire life in Audubon Township and later in Pana, and is well remembered as a favorite Aunt. She was also a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ, Pana. Jean is survived by her brother, Owen Miles (wife Helen M.), Taylorville, IL; sister, Myra Lowe, Pana, IL; sister-in-law, Helen J. Miles, Pana, IL; nieces and nephews: Ronald Miles, Pana, IL; Diane Getz, Pana; Marion Bryson, Mt. Zion, IL; Sharon Nuzzo, Sullivan, IL; Jim Miles, Denver, CO; Cindy Miles, Pana, IL; Kerry Patrick, Pana, IL; & Kim Herpstreith, Taylorville, IL; as well as a large number of great nieces & nephews and extended family members. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, Harold Dean Miles; sisters: Veda Morgan and Mary Bryson; nephews: Jeffrey Miles and Kirby Miles; great nieces: Robin (Bryson) Grimes, Sheedena Bryson, and Charlie Miles. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home with Rev. Marilyn Rauch officiating. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
