Bio

William attended high school at Geddes and college at South Dakota State University at Brookings. He married Josephine Hermanek at Geddes on April 15, 1923. He farmed at Geddes until 1936, when they moved to Wolsey. William was a member of the Wolsey School Board for eight years and the First Presbyterian Church. He was survived by his wife, and one son, Charles both of Wolsey; one brother Louis of Geddes; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Elmer, seven sisters and three brothers. William died at age 80, at the Huron Nursing Home. A morning funeral service was held at Brooks Funeral Chapel in Huron on Sep. 12th, and an afternoon service was held in Geddes at the United Methodist Church.
