Bio

Charles William Teply was born April 6, 1924, to Josehpine (Hermanek) and William Teply near Geddes, SD. His family moved to Wolsey, SD, in 1936. Charles worked on a farm, for a railroad, a grain elevator, and drove a taxi (between Wolsey and Huron for 25 cents). He worked at Hanskutt Lumber, then bought and operated the business before closing it in 1985. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jack (1997), daughter-in-law, Shirley (2006), and brother, Elmer (1970).
