His parents were: John Alois Chapek 1881 – 1968 Catherine "Katie" Svoboda 1881 – 1926 Obituary "Louis Chapek, 54, Funeral Friday Funeral services for Louis J. [sic] Chapek, 54, prominent Weston farmer will be held at St. John's Church in Weston at 10 a.m. Friday, February 9, 1962. Mr. Chapek passed away in the Saunders County Community Hospital Tuesday after an illness of about six months. Survivors include his widow, Ludmilla; son, Leonard, Weston; daughters, Mrs. Arlene Kovar, David City; Alyce and Dorothy at home; two grandchildren, Karl Kovar and Sharon Chapek; his father, John A. Chapek of Wahoo; a brother, John of Weston and a sister, Mrs. James (Catherine) Meduna of Weston.
