Bio
Funeral mass said for Sophie J. Wilborn at St. Theresa's Catholic Church with Father Raymond Mulllan, pastor, officiating. She was born in Megargel to the late Anton and Annie(Kubish) Kulhanek. She and E.W."Bud Wilborn were married May 30, 1975, in Olney. He prceded her in death Sept. 10, 1988. She attended business college in Fort Worth. She owned and operated the Circle K Restaurant for three years. She also delivered the Wichita Falls Record News, The Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram for 15 years. She was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Theresa's Alter Society. She was a volunteer for the Mental Rehab Center in Graham for four years and also the food bank in Olney. Survivors include one son, Vance Gibson and wife, Vicki, of Houston; one daughter, Kathleen Burgess and her husband, Terry, of Granite Shoals; two sisters, Sr. Adelaide Kulhanek of Mountain Home, Calif., and Edith Kulhanek of Terrell; three brothers, George Kulhanek and wife, Frances, Charlie Kulhanek and wife Rosie, all of Megargel, and Joe Kulhanek of Olney; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Kulhanek, and one grandson, James Gibson Dozier.
