Son of Abner and Emily (Dyson) ASHWORTH. ~ OBITUARY OF GUS ASHWORTH DeQUINCY -- Funeral services for Gus ASHWORTH, 85, were at 2 p.m. today, August 25, in Good Hope Baptist Church. The Rev. Jack Bell officiated. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery under direction of Snider Funeral Home. Mr. ASHWORTHY died at 8:15 p.m. Monday in DeQuincy General Hospital after a long illness. A native of Beauregard Parish, he had lived In the De-Quincy area all of his life. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearl ASHWORTH of DeQuincy; one daughter, Mrs. Thelma MARCANTELL of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
