Bio

Military Service WWll: Trained at Ft. Hood TX, sailed from New York to Glasgow, Scotland then by train through London to the English Channel, then boarded landing craft carrying 20 men and 1 tank and crossing to Omaha Beach on Sept. 22nd. Assigned to the 26th Infantry Division, 26th Police Platoon, Patton's 3rd Army. Fought through France, Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium. Fought in the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944 during the harshest winter in Europes history. Shipped to Prague,Czechoslovakia for prisoner exchange with Russians. Transferred to the 93rd Division and promoted to Tech Sgt. Decomissioned a few months after war ended. Sailed home from LeHavre, France and discharged at Camp Fannin, Tx on Feb.12,1946
